The topper in the Anna University Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2011 rank list, V. Divya, a product of R.S.K. Higher Secondary School run by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchi, is delighted, more so as the achievement could erase her disappointment over missing out on getting the coveted Plus Two State rank.

Divya's total of 1,174 includes centums in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science. Having secured 193 in English, it was the score of 181 in Tamil that denied her the State-topper spot.

Till tenth standard, Divya studied under the CBSE pattern, and switched over to State Board with the confidence to emerge as the State-topper.

With a total of 487 out of 500, Divya stood first in X standard in the district and third in the entire CBSE southern Region. The TNEA top ranker has decided to graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University.
