Members of Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangankalin Peramaippu staged a demonstration in front of the Khadi craft in Tiruchi on Tuesday, protesting against foreign direct investment in multi-brand retail in the country.

Led by Ve.Govindarajulu, State secretary of the Peramaippu, they raised slogans against the move.

Mr.Govindarajulu said the direct investment would pave the way for foreign traders to spread their roots in the country at the cost of freedom of our trading community.

M.Tamizhselvam, president of Tiruchi zone, J.Subramanian, N.Ranganathan and Abdul Jaffar, State vice-presidents, were present.
