J. Leo Ananth is among the 22 young entrepreneurs chosen to represent the country at the summit, which is to be held in Moscow next week.

J. Leo Ananth, Chairman of the Young Indians Tiruchi Chapter, will be among the 22 young entrepreneurs to represent our country at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit (G20 YEA) to be held in Moscow, Russia, from June 15 to 17.

The G20 YEA is a collective of leading entrepreneurially-minded organisations representing the G20 countries (a forum of international cooperation that includes India), who seek to promote youth entrepreneurship as a driver of economic revival, job creation, innovation, and social change. It provides input to government leaders to help achieve sustainable global economic growth.

The alliance seeks to engage G20 leaders in the cause of youth entrepreneurship, share information, help policy changes, and create a global network of young entrepreneurs. The fifth edition of the summit will be hosted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship, which is based in Moscow. About 20 young entrepreneurs from each of the member countries will attend the summit.

Mr. Ananth, also the Managing Director of eQuadriga Software Pvt.Ltd., is one of the five young entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu who will be attending the summit. The others are from Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai.

Mr. Ananth told the media here on Friday that the summit would provide an opportunity not only to network with young entrepreneurs globally, but replicate global best practices in entrepreneurship development programmes locally.

The summit, he said, would focus on solutions to address critical issues facing the G20 countries and discuss ways as to how governments, the academia, voluntary organisations, and the business community can work together to provide aspiring young entrepreneurs with foundational support. The recommendations will be presented at the G20 Leaders Summit to be held in St. Petersburg in September, he said.

Elaborating on Young Indians, a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) which seeks to engage youth in nation building, Mr. Ananth said the organisation has planned to set up the YI Student Net in some of the colleges in the Tiruchi region.

The YI Student Net will be floated in at least two colleges within the next few months, he added.
