Tiruchi City Police emerges overall third in State Duty Meet

A police team representing Tiruchi City emerged overall third in the State Police Duty Meet – 2016 held at Chennai from August 8 to 13.

Sub Inspector R. Surendar attached to Cantonment police station (Law and Order wing) emerged on top and bagged the gold medal in crime investigation written test besides winning a silver medal in photography event.

Sub Inspector R. Shanmugapriya attached to Fort Police station secured the third spot and won a bronze medal in the photography event.

A group of officers and men from the Tiruchi City Police took part in the meet which featured various events.

Detective dog ‘Lilly’ attached to Tiruchi City Police came third in detection of explosive substance during the meet.

The participants and the winners met the Commissioner of Police M.N. Manjunatha at the City Police Office here on Tuesday.

Police Commissioner appreciated the performance of the winners, a police press release said.
