Three die in mishap

Three persons were killed on the spot when the motor bike in which they were travelling collided head on with a tourist van, coming from Kerala to Velankanni at Bamini near Mannargudi on the Thiruthuraipoondi-Nagapattinam road on Saturday.

The diseased were coming from Velankanni to Thillaivilaham near Thiruthuraipoondi. The persons were identified as Mahendran(20), Ramanathan(25) of Keezhakarai near Thillaivilaham and Saravanan(23) of Panchanathikulam near Thillavilaham. Jagadeesan, van driver was arrested by the police. Thiruthuraipoondi police have registered a case.
