The Hindu continues to reign as Tiruchi's No. 1 English daily

The Hindu has maintained its leadership as Tiruchi's favourite English daily as seen in the just-released findings of the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) for the third quarter of 2011.

While readership of The Hindu registered a base of 59,000 readers, the readership of Deccan Chronicle stands at 14, 000 readers.

The other two English dailies in the region, The New Indian Express and The Times of India show a readership of 10,000 and 2,000 respectively. Significantly, The Hindu's readership is more than twice the readership of all other English dailies put together.

The readership of The Hindu among the youth has also witnessed an increase. The youth readership (16-39 years) in the city for The Hindu has increased by 4% and represents 46% of its total readership.

The Hindu , with its 133-year-long track record of editorial excellence and commitment to providing news in an interesting and engaging manner, has reinforced its supremacy as Tiruchi's most preferred English daily.
