Tax collection centres to work on weekends

All tax collection service centres and counters of the Tiruchi Corporation in the city would remain open on weekends until August 31 as part of an intensive tax collection drive launched by the civic body. Commissioner K.Veera Raghava Rao, in a release said the service centres and counters would be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Residents can remit their property tax, water charges and other dues at the computerised service centres at the Corporation Main Office, the zonal offices or at the tax collection counters at the ward offices at Ariyamangalam, Surbamaniapuram, Melakalkandarkottai, K.K.Nagar, Kallar Street, Nandi Kovil Street, office of the Sanitary Inspector, Woraiyur, Siddha Dispensary, Edamalaipattipudur and Thevar Hall on West Boulevard Road. Dues can also be remitted at the mobile tax collection unit.
