Pointing out the ever-changing business scenario and tough competitions, D. Shivakumar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pepsico India Private Ltd, said that multiple capabilities alone would make the aspiring candidates, managers and entrepreneurs to get through their career.

Delivering convocation address at the fifth annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchi, on Saturday, he said that continuous learning and the constant update of their respective domain knowledge would help them to identify and sustain good career. They should be curious to update latest developments. Under no circumstances, they should lose passion and hope.

Shivendu Nadkarni, Vice President, Asia/Africa Snags, Kelloges, in his address said that constant urge and big ambition would make a difference in the career. Passion and hard work were the fuel for engine. Similarly, it was important to focus on work and personal life balance.

Prafulla Agnihotri, Director, IIM-T, said that the institute had witnessed a 56% increase in the highest stipend offered for the summer placements and a 39% increase in highest cost to the company (CTC) offered for the final placements. These achievements were made possible due to the quality of the students and the hard work of the faculty.

He congratulated Upendran Vasu and Anirudh Jain for securing the second place in the GSCMI inter college case study competition held by the Purdue University in United States.

He exhorted the graduating batch of students to take care of their parents, who have been instrumental in their successes. He also advised them to set their own standards and be ethical, honest and responsible managers.
