TIRUCHI: Temple gifts from Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple for Sri Andal Temple at Srivilliputhur in connection with the ‘Aadi Pooram’ festival were readied for despatch on Tuesday.

The holy gifts containing ‘pattu vastram’, garlands, fruits and dry fruits were kept for public display at the Renga Vilas Mandapam at the shrine. Thereafter, the holy gifts were taken out in a procession around the Uthira Veedhi in the temple town. The Srirangam Temple Joint Commissioner J. Jayaraman, temple priests and Board of Trustees of the shrine participated.

The gifts would be taken on Wednesday morning to Srivilliputhur Sri Andal Temple where the car festival in connection with ‘Aadi Pooram’ is to be celebrated on July 27.
