Southern Railway has announced that special trains will be run from Chennai Egmore to Tirunelveli and back to clear the extra rush of traffic.
Train No. 06003 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli special fare special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 9.05 p.m. on June 3 and 10 and reach Tirunelveli at 10.45 a.m., the next day. The train will have one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class and two luggage –cum – brake van coaches. It will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Kodaikkanal road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi.
Train No.00602 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore suvidha special train will leave Tirunelveli at 2.45 p.m. on June 5 and 12 and reach Chennai Egmore at 4.15 a.m., the next day. It will have one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The train will stop at Kovilpatti, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Villupuram, Chengalpattu and Tambaram. Advance reservation for the trains is open, a press release here said.
