Special camps to receive applications for enrolment of eligible voters for the graduates and teachers constituencies for the elections to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council will be held in the district on October 23, 24, 30 and 31.
Persons eligible to be enrolled as voters in the Tamil Nadu East Central Graduates constituency and Tamil Nadu East Central Teachers constituency of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council can apply for inclusion in the electoral rolls before November 6.
Eligible voters of graduates and teachers can apply by submitting Form 18 and Form 19 respectively, T. K. Ponnusamy, District Collector, said.
Addresses for receipt
In a press release issued here on Sunday, Mr. Ponnusamy said that the filled in applications would be received by the Tahsildars at the Taluk Office in Ariyalur, Sendurai and Udayarpalayam.
The voters can get any details by dialling 04329 – 222062 (Ariyalur); 04329 – 242320 (Sendurai) and 04331 – 250220 (Udayarpalayam).
The Collector has appealed to the voters to extend their cooperation for the preparation of the voters list for the district by enrolling their names.
The voters list would be prepared with November 1, 2010 as the qualifying date for enrolment, the release added.
