District Collector K.S.Palanisamy on Wednesday held a consultative meeting with representatives of recognised political parties to discuss the execution of National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP) of the Election Commission. The programme seeks to ensure error-free electoral rolls, by removing multiple entries and provide correct details about the voters. Mr. Palanisamy appealed to the political parties to extend their cooperation for the successful conduct of the exercise. Special camps would be held at polling booths on April 12, 26, and May 10 and 24 to collect details from voters and make corrections, an official release said.
