The renowned Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple here will soon have a ‘Azhwargal Kalvettu Nandhavanam’ – a stone garden containing granite slabs engraved with the divine verses of Nalayira Divya Prabhandham sung on Lord Ranganatha.
The ‘Nandhavanam’ is being established using temple funds near the ‘Kottaram’ inside the sprawling temple premises.
A row of stone pedestals have been erected at the chosen spot. Polished granite slabs containing the divine paasurams rendered by the Azhwars and Sri Andaal, except Madurakavi Azhwar, on Lord Ranganatha will be embedded on them.
According to temple authorities, 247 paasurams will be engraved on the 40 granite slabs - a few of which have already been installed on the stone pedestals.
The stone garden, which is being implemented at a cost ₹23 lakh, will be ready by October, they said.
