Renewal of lapsed employment registration

Unemployed persons who have failed to renew their registrations with the Employment Office between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2009 can do it now, according to V.Dakshinamurthy, Collector (in-charge).

In a release, Mr.Dakshinamurthy said those who wish to avail the opportunity to renew their registration can do so either by appearing in person or by sending in a request over post to the respective District Employment Offices. Only candidates who have failed to renew their registrations between 2006 and 2009 can use this chance now. These candidates can apply for renewal till October 4. The seniority of these candidates would be restored on renewal of the registration.

Applications for renewals should be accompanied by a photo copy of the Employment Office identification card . Those who have availed a similar opportunity to renew lapsed registrations previously cannot apply now.

In another release, Mr.Dakshinamurthy said the District Employment Office would shortly recommend the names of the candidates eligible for 15 vacant posts of Junior Assistants notified by the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchi. Graduates, with relevant qualification in Tamil or English typing, are eligible for the post. The names of the candidates are to be recommended based on their seniority of registration at the graduate level. Eligible candidates can appear in person at 3 p.m. on July 13 at the Employment Office in the City to verify whether their names have been included in the list.
