Students of Campion Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School who had passed out in the year 1994 reassembled with their teachers, former principals, non-teaching staff and their families for a special get-together at the campus on Sunday.

More than 100 alumni of the school turned up for the reunion occurring after 20 years to relive their formative years at their alma mater. The group consisted of doctors, entrepreneurs, executives of top companies, advocates, IT professionals and even a lieutenant colonel of the Indian army who had served in the Kargil war.

Twenty of them were from abroad. Nearly 50 teachers participated to share their thoughts and wisdom.

The meeting started with the school prayer song which had visual compilation of the old school photos in the background giving it a nostalgic feel.

The alumni recollected and shared many a lighter moment, recalling their student days.

Speaking on the occasion, A.Kader Sahib, one of the organisers, said the re-union was a culmination of hard work for his team for a year to trace their old friends who had passed out at a time when they had no e-mail or facebook IDs or even mobile phones.

Former principals, Bro. Sebastian, Bro. Selvanathan, Bro.Berchmans and some of the alumni spoke. The gathering also paid homage to some of the deceased friends.

A touching video clipping of a compilation of events and photos from 1980 to 1994 brought tears to many.

The curtains were brought down with a cultural performance by students of Kalai Kaveri College of Fine Arts.
