Reject Sam Pitroda panel report: association

The All India BSNL Officers Association – Tiruchi branch has urged the Central government to reject the Sam Pitroda Committee report. The association has also urged the Centre to withdraw its proposed move to divest 30 per cent government equity in the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

Resolutions to this effect were adopted at the association's meeting held here on Saturday on the occasion of May Day. The meeting was presided over by the association's district president C. Krishnan.

It also urged the Centre not to implement the staff reduction proposal under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme, a press release here said.
