Red ribbon club opened

Collector M.S.Shanmugham inaugurated the red ribbon club at Thanjavur Medical College here on Thursday. He said wards of HIV/AIDS affected parents should be accorded special care as they are suffering for no fault of their own. Doctors should sympathise with them and help in their education and rehabilitation. He also inaugurated a blood donation camp. R. Elangovan, Medical Superintendent (in charge), Thanjavur Medical College Hospital; T.Sivakami, Dean (in charge), Thanjavur Medical College; T. V. Sathappan, Deputy Superintendent, Rajah Mirasudhar Government Hospital; M.Singaravelu, district chairman for voluntary blood donation; K.Mathivanan, Deputy Director of Health; and S.Asokan, regional manager of Red Ribbon Club, participated.
