Railway to launch cleanliness campaign

Ministry of Railways will launch a special cleanliness campaign from October 2 at designated stations, trains, and railway premises involving railway employees.

Non-governmental organisations, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, Scouts and Guides, school and college students, besides members of public, will also be involved in the campaign.

Cleaning of platforms, concourses, and circulating and parking areas would be carried out during the campaign. Pamphlets would be circulated to the public with an appeal to them to keep trains and station premises clean.

A cleanliness awareness rally involving NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, Scouts and Guides and school / college students would be organised at Tiruchi on September 30.

In a release here, the Tiruchi divisional railway administration has appealed to rail users and public to keep the stations, trains, and railway premises clean.
