Members of the Cauvery Rights Retrieval Forum continued their rail roko agitation on Sunday too blocking a passenger train at Inamkulathur near Tiruchi in support of their demands.

Around 100 members of the forum led by M.P. Chinnadurai, district secretary, Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam, assembled at Inamkulathur railway station and sat on the track. The stir led to the detention of the Tirunelveli- Mayiladuthurai passenger train for nearly 10 minutes at the station.

The protestors who carried placards and raised slogans were arrested. The forum had been carrying out rail roko agitations at different places in the central region for the past few days demanding formation of the Cauvery Management Board.

It also demanded scrapping of the Central draft proposal to establish a singular tribunal to hear and dispose of all inter-State water disputes and waiver of all crop loans availed by farmers.
