A total of 132 students constituting 44 teams from 24 schools took part in Quizzards 2010, an inter-school quiz competition organised recently by the UNESCO Club of National Institute of Technology–Tiruchi.
The teams were divided into two categories: IX & X for Juniors and XI & XII for seniors. The teams were shortlisted at their respective schools and invited for the finals.
The winner of the junior category was the team from Alpha Wisdom Vidhyashram and the joint runners-up were Sri Akilandeswari Vidyalaya and SBIOA matriculation Higher Secondary school.
In the seniors category, the team from Alpha Wisdom Vidhyashram won the event and the team from Montfort school was adjudged the runner-up.
At the valedictory session, G. Swaminathan, Dean, students welfare, NIT-T and Arivazhagan, Staff Advisor, offered felicitations and honoured the winners.
