Post Office Savings Banks (POSB) customers holding Aadhar cards have been requested to submit card details to the post offices where accounts are held. This is subsequent to an order issued by the Department of Post, notifying post offices to include Aadhar numbers to the savings accounts of all POSB customers. All customers possessing Aadhar cards should hand in a self-attested copy of the card with account number to the postmaster of respective post offices, said a release from the senior superintendent of post offices, Tiruchi. Work has commenced at post offices in Tiruchi and Ariyalur districts.
