Police seize pirated CDs

As many as 1,085 pirated compact discs containing latest Tamil films and obscene movies were seized from a commercial complex on the N.S.B. Road here on Saturday.

The police said the pirated CDs were seized in front of a video shop situated in the commercial complex.

The shop salesman A. Mohamed Arif (30) was trying to sell the pirated CDs that were kept inside a shopper bag in front of the shop when he was caught by the police and later arrested. Gani, shop owner, was reported to be absconding. The pirated CDs contained latest Tamil movies, including Singam- II and Kuttipuli . The Fort police have registered a case.
