Cadre of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) staged a demonstration in Tiruchi on Friday condemning prolonged power cut across the State.

The stir organised near Khadi Craft was led by the party State vice president Kannadasan.

Party members raised slogans condemning unprecedented power cuts for several hours across the State.

The acute power crisis had severely affected students, farming community and small scale industries besides leading to unemployment, rise in prices of essential commodities due to fall in production and rise in crimes, the party said.
