Over 1,000 pirated compact discs containing newly released Tamil movies and other films were seized from a cell phone recharge shop at Woraiyur here on Saturday night.
Woraiyur police arrested A. Prakash (27) from Pandamangalam, who was running the shop, on the charge of illegally stocking the pirated CDs for sale. A total number of 1,083 pirated CDs were seized and the accused was remanded in judicial custody.
