Over 29,000 write Plus Two exam

Plus Two public examinations began on Friday with 29,776 students, including 17,080 girls, appearing for the exams in the district.

The exams were being held at 83 centres across the district for students from 200 schools.

Private candidates appeared for the exams in 10 centres.

About 130 officials, split into different flying squads, conducted surprise checks to prevent any malpractices.

All exam centres were provided with police security and generators.

Candidates and invigilators were barred from carrying mobile phones into the exam centres.

Collector Jayashree Muralidharan inspected the examination centres at St.Anne’s Girls Higher Secondary School and Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School, Puthur.
