New Executive Director for BHEL's Tiruchi Complex

R. Rajamanohar, General Manager-in-Charge, BHEL, Tiruchi, has been appointed Executive Director of BHEL's Tiruchi Complex.

The Tiruchi complex comprises the High Pressure Boiler Plant, the Seamless Steel Tube Plant, the Industrial Valves Plant, Goindwal (Punjab), the Power Plant Piping Unit (PPPU), Thirumayam, and the Piping Centre located at Chennai.

A post graduate in chemical engineering with over 35 years of experience in key areas including manufacturing, materials management, product marketing, outsourcing, modernisation, capital equipment purchase and planning and development at BHEL, Mr. Rajamanohar joined BHEL,Tiruchi in 1980 as engineer trainee.

In 2009, he was posted as head of the new High Pressure Boiler Plant (Unit-II) at Tiruchi, where he was successful in introducing supercritical steam generator technology and establishing the complex manufacturing processes for intricate components of BHEL's range of once-through supercritical steam generators.

He was elevated as General Manager in 2012 and in 2015 he was made head of Planning and Development.

He was appointed General Manager-in-Charge of BHEL, Tiruchi, PPPU Thirumayam and Piping Centre, Chennai in August this year.

Mr. Rajamanohar is also currently Chairman of the Southern Zone of the Indian Welding Society.
