New College, Chennai, won the overall championship in the intercollegiate competitions held in connection with the two-day ‘SWAP 2K13’ technical symposium held at Jamal Mohamed College. The symposium was organised jointly by the Department of Computer Science and CSI Students Branch of the college. Over 225 students from about 35 arts, science and engineering colleges and universities from all over the State participated in the competitions. Gokul Visweswaran, director, Effect Works, Chennai, was the chief guest at the valediction. A. M. Mohamed Sindhasha, principal, presided.
