Vocal concerts were held for six days

Special music concerts, discourses and nama sankeerthanam formed the annual Sadguru Sri Thyagabrahmma aradhanai organised by the celebration Committee at Srirangam.

The vocal concerts were held for six days in the evening at Goratha Moolai in which prominent artistes and leading vidwans participated. The concerts were performed by vidwans, including Madhav and Ragav, Sikkal S. Gurucharan, Sanjay Subramaniam, M. Dinesh, T. M. Krishna, Sangeetha Sivakumar, T. V. Ramanujacharyalu and Ramakrishna Moorthy.

M. Aniruth and Balachandran rendered flute concerts, B. Sivakumar gave a veena concert while Visaka Hari presented a discourse.

To mark the commencement of the aradhanai, nama sankeerthanam and Sri Sita Kalayana uthsavam were held.

A special aradhanai was performed to the saint-poet Sri Thyagaraja on the occasion.
