Thousands of candidates appeared for the Group D examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Cell in Tiruchi and its nearby areas on Sunday.

Although admit cards were issued to 45,000 candidates to appear for the written examination in Tiruchi and nearby areas, a little over 12,000 of them only took the test with the rest remaining absent.
