G. Jeyachandran, TB and chest consultant, and chairman, Janet Nursing Home, Puthur, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the State medical varsity for his involvement in government medical service.
Dr. Jeyachandran who retired as Joint Director, Health Services, in charge of State Planning and Development in Chennai, has also held top posts of Deputy Director, Family Welfare and Deputy Director, Tuberculosis for Tiruchi and Pudukottai.

Presently serving as president, YMCA College of Physical Education, Nandanam, Chennai, he was former national vice-president of YMCAS of India.
