Medical camp organised for sanitary workers

About 810 sanitary workers underwent comprehensive medical checks during a special medical camp organised for them by the City Corporation in association with government and private doctors at the Chattalbai Health Centre in the city on Saturday.

The camp was organised by the Corporation based on the request from the sanitary workers that the civic body conduct comprehensive health checks for them. On Saturday, sanitary workers of Srirangam and Ariyamangalam zones underwent the screening.

Those requiring follow-up treatment would be extended the same and the expenses will be covered under insurance scheme.

Mayor A.Jaya, who inaugurated the camp, said similar camps will be organised for sanitary workers of the other two zones in the city.
