MDMK stages agitation, demands probe into war crimes in Sri Lanka

The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam workers staged demonstration in front of the Khadi Kraft in Tiruchi on Wednesday demanding probe into alleged war crimes in the last phase of Eelam war in Sri Lanka.

Demanding that the International Court of Justice initiate international probe into the allegations of war crimes against Sri Lanka. A. Malarmannan, secretary of the urban district unit of the party, led the agitation.

KARUR: MDMK cadres staged a demonstration in front of the Head Post Office here on Wednesday expressing solidarity with Eelam Tamils for bringing the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse to justice for war crimes.

The protesters, led by the party district secretary Bharani K. Mani, urged the United Nations to support conducting a referendum among the Lankan Tamils and the Tamil Diaspora worldwide on creating a new Tamil Eelam in Sri Lankan island.

NAGAPATTINAM: MDMK cadres staged protests demonstrations out the taluk office in Nagapattinam demanding probe into alleged war crimes in the last phase of Eelam war in Sri Lanka here on Wednesday. Demanding that the International Court of Justice initiate international probe into the allegations of war crimes against Sri Lanka, the MDMK cadres called for declaring Sri Lankan President Rajapakshe as war criminal. The protesters demanded a referendum in Sri Lanka on the Eelam question. The protests were held at the taluk office in Nagapatinam and at the RDO’s office in Mayiladuthurai.
