Man gets double life term in double murder case

The Principal District and Sessions Court on Friday convicted and sentenced B. Ravi (48) to undergo double life imprisonment for murdering two brothers near Neikulam in the district in February 2012. Pronouncing the judgment, Principal District and Sessions Judge P. Velmurugan imposed a fine of Rs. 3,000 on the convict.

The Siruganur police arrested Ravi for killing V. Mohan (45) and his younger brother V. Chandrasekar (38) of Neikulam and attempting to kill their elder brother V. Duraisamy (52) following a dispute over pumping water from a common irrigation well in the village. The charge-sheet was filed on April 9.
