Man arrested for wife’s murder

A man was arrested in Harur on Tuesday for allegedly murdering his wife. Selvakumar (35) was married to Selvi (33) for 16 years. The couple has two daughters and a son.

According to police, the couple reportedly had constant fights between them. On Tuesday, Selvi and Selvakumar had returned home after bereavement, when they got into a fight. Selvakumar had allegedly bludgeoned her with a log and left her behind in a pool of blood. The neighbours had noticed Selvakumar leaving his house, when they came to check on Selvi. She was found dead with severe injuries. Police were alerted.

Selvakumar was secured near Theerthamalai bus stand on Tuesday night.
