Participating in the bhumi puja to mark the commencement of construction work of the building to house the District Industries Centre here on Sunday, Mr. Balaji said Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was intent on fast tracking industrial development. Several incentives and stimulus schemes have been announced for entrepreneurs and industrialists in the past two years.

Rural industries would get the required attention to develop into profit spinning ventures, he added.
