Kanimozhi distributes TVs

Kanimozhi, MP, distributed 1,749 free television sets at Koradachery, near here on Monday.

She said that in Tiruvarur district so far 1,88,000 television sets worth Rs. 44 crores have been distributed. The aim of distributing free television sets is to improve the general knowledge of students and people. The State Government has done a lot for providing education to poor students. Now the Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has announced free education for first generation graduates in a family.

U. Mathivanan, Dairy Development Minister and M. Chandrasekaran, District Collector, participated in the function.
