Kalai Peravai to felicitate M.S. Viswanathan on Saturday

The Kalai Peravai will organise a function to felicitate M. S. Viswanathan, acclaimed as the undisputed king of melodies, in the National College ground in the city on September 7 evening.

The function is in recognition of his achievements in the last five decades as music composer, actor, and playback singer.

Vairamuthu, lyricist, will be the chief guest and Tiruchi Siva, former MP, will preside.

Renowned film personalities including directors S. P. Muthuraman, Vikraman, Lingusamy, Pandiraj, Nalan Kumarasamy, actors M. N. Rajam, Nalini, Karunas and Prasanna, play back singers A. L. Raghavan and Srinivas, music director (Sankar) Ganesh will felicitate M. S. Viswanathan.

The Kalai Peravai in the past had organised similar functions to felicitate P. Susheela, late lyricist Vaali, director K. Balachandar.
