Jewellery stolen from Tiruchi Siva’s house

Gold jewellery weighing 20 sovereigns was reported stolen from the house of DMK Rajya Sabha member Tiruchi Siva situated on State Bank Officers’ Colony here a couple of days ago.

The police suspect the hand of male servant — Rajesh, a native of Bihar, who has been named as the accused.

He had worked as a servant in the MP’s house for the past three months.

The police have registered a case on a complaint lodged by Surya Siva, MP’s son.

In the complaint, Mr. Surya Siva said that Rajesh had stolen gold jewellery kept in the house. The accused is yet to be arrested, the police sources said.
