Implementation of total prohibition across the country and release of Muslims who had been languishing in various jails in the name of inquiry were among their other demands.

The demonstration held near Khadi Kraft was led by IUML urban district president V.M. Farooq. Party’s State deputy secretary G.M. Hashim, rural district secretary K.M. Habibur Rehman and others participated.

Later, the IUML members took out a rally from Vestry School circle to the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum containing their demands to the district administration.
