Nobody injured in the accident; two lorries damaged

Iron scrap broken from condemned vehicles, including foam seats, and a couple of lorries, were partially gutted at a scrap unit at Senthaneerpuram on Wednesday.

The fire is said to have broken out amidst the scrap, comprising bus seats. A couple of lorries parked in the unit were also partially damaged. Fire tenders from Tiruchi fire station and two private water tankers were rushed to the spot to put out the fire. Nobody was injured in the accident reported around 1 p.m.
