Summer courses in skill development

The Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD), Bharathidasan University, will offer job oriented skill development programmes to students, women and youth during the summer vacation. Certificate programmes would be offered on Robotics, Tally ERP 9, Computer Hardware and Networking, Basic Computer Operations, and Handwriting techniques. School students studying in classes V to XII, youth and home makers can attend the programmes.

Admissions for all programmes open from Wednesday, according to a press release from K. Parthasarathy, Director, IECD.

Scholarship of 50% on course fee would be offered for SC/ST candidates, 25% for MBC and BC and cent per cent for persons with disabilities. The programmes would be conducted in two batches between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. on weekdays. The programmes would commence on April 13.

Candidates can register their names by appearing in person at the ICED along with their educational, community and disability certificates during working hours on weekdays till April 12. For more details, dial 8973523807 or 0431-2332638.
