Gold appraiser training

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute of the Central government is conducting a two-week skill development programme on gold appraiser here from August 19 to 29.

According to a release from R.Panneerselvam, Deputy Director (Metallurgy) of the MSME Development Institute, Chennai, the programme will be conducted at the TNGOU building, No.2, Renals Road (opp.Contonment police station) in Tiruchi.

The objective of the programme is to train educated unemployed youth and to get employment opportunity in nationalised banks and co-operative banks enabling them to start pawnbroker shops and jewellery shop.

Mr Panneerselvam said practical training would be conducted through modern touch acid technique and Government of India certificate (MSME-DI) would be issued on successful completion of the training course.
