M. Monisha (9), who went missing at Edamalaipatipudur area here on Tuesday evening, was found dead floating in a pool of water in a quarry on Thursday.
A native of Noyyal in Karur district, the girl’s father S. Madan was eking out a living by doing acrobatics on roadside after settling down here. The girl was playing near her tenement when she went missing. A thorough search was carried out by her parents in the vicinity. However, the girl could not be traced. So, Madan preferred a complaint with the police on Wednesday afternoon.
Locals found a body of a girl floating in a pool of water in a nearby quarry and alerted the police. Madan, who went to the spot, identified that it was his daughter’s body.
