Free bus services for Vaikunta Ekadasi festival flagged off

School Education Minister N.R. Sivapathi on Sunday inaugurated the operation of free bus services in connection with the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival at the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple for the benefit of pilgrims. The festival falls on Monday.

Five special free services would be operated till Monday evening.

Three of them would be operated from Srirangam MLA office and ply via Mambazha Salai, Amma Mandapam, Srirangam and Tiruvanaikoil, while two services would be operated in the Tiruvanaikoil, Srirangam, Amma Mandapam and Mambazhasalai route.

An official press release here said the services were being operated for the benefit of devotees coming from other States as well as for those in local areas.

Mayor A. Jaya, Tiruchi MP P. Kumar, Tiruchi East MLA R. Manoharan and Transport Department officials were present on the occasion.
