Director General of Indian Coast Guard Rajendra Singh laid the foundation for the residential complex for Coast Guard personnel at Akkaraivattam here on Thursday.

Inspector General Rajan Bargotra, Commander, Coast Guard region (east), Deputy Inspector General SC Tyagi, Commander, Coast Guard, District of Puducherry, and Commandant N. Somasundaran, Commander, Coast Guard station, Karaikal, and others participated in the ceremony.

Later, Mr. Rajendra Singh interacted with the officers and other ranks of the Coast Guard units stationed at Karaikal.
