Legal profession being a highly challenging one, junior advocates should attach themselves with seniors as it would help them in expanding their legal knowledge and sharpen their argumentation skills, S. Rajeswaran, Judge, Madras High Court, said here on Saturday. Junior advocates should follow the legacy of seniors and work hard to sustain in the profession, Mr. Rajeswaran said after honouring 12 senior advocates, who had completed 50 years of service at Mupperum Vizha organised by Tiruchi Bar Association at the combined court complex here.
P. Velmurugan, Principal District and Sessions Judge, urged lawyers to avoid court boycott. D. Selvam, chairman, Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, appealed to young advocates to enrol in the Advocates Welfare Fund.
Mr. Rajeswaran opened a park named after advocate M. Natarajan on the court premises and unveiled a portrait of senior advocate M. Ramaiyan.
