Tiruchi district, comprising nine Assembly constituencies, accounted for 19,35,529 voters – men 9,61,769, women 9,73,687 and others 73, as per the final electoral rolls 2013 released on Thursday.
Women outnumber men in seven constituencies – Srirangam, Tiruchi West, Tiruchi East, Lalgudi, Manachanallur, Musiri and Thuraiyur-reserved. Only in Manapparai and Tiruverumbur, men outnumber women.
Prior to the final voter list, the draft rolls, released last year, had a total of 19,12,074 voters – men 9,52,443 , women 9,59,558 and others 73.
Collector Jayashree Muralidharan released the final electoral rolls in the presence of officials and representatives of political parties.
She said the final rolls will be displayed in the Corporation main office, offices of assistant commissioners, offices of revenue divisional officers, taluk offices, for the benefit of people.

Based on the applications received during the campaign for summary revision of rolls during October-December last year, 92,050 new voters – men 43,277, women 48,768 and others 5 – have been enrolled. The names of a total of 68,595 voters – men 39,951, women 34,639 and other 5 – have been deleted for various reasons, including death, change of address, double enrolment.
The Collector said as per the 2011-12 census, the district accounted for 1,20,281 youths in the 18-19 years age limit. Of them, 66,228 have enrolled their names in the poll rolls, including the 27,754 during this summary revision campaign.
Srirangam constituency has the maximum number of voters of 2,45,071, and Lalgudi is at the bottom of the list with a voters strength of 1,86,082. Manapparai 2,36,577, Tiruverumbur 2,36,198, Tiruchi West 2,22,866, Tiruchi East 2,14,272, Manachanallur 2,01,162, Musiri 1,98,513, Thuraiyur-reserved 1,94,788. DRO Thiagarajan was present.
