Federation demands Tiruchi- Bangalore Express

It also demands early completion of Odathurai bridge work

The Air, Rail and Road Travellers’ Federation has appealed to the railways to restore the Tiruchi-Bangalore Express which was operating via Vriddhachalam and Salem.

The federation has appealed for regularising the Tiruchi–Pune Express. In a representation to the Divisional Railway Manager, the federation president M. Sekaran placed a slew of demands.

The federation has sought early completion of the railway portion of the Odathurai bridge in the city connecting the Chinthamani area with the Chennai Bypass.

Stopping all trains at Tiruverumbur, reopening the closed passage leading to Fort Station to reach the reservation counters from Thillainagar side and opening a reservation counter at Palakkarai station considering its prime location in the city were the other main demands of the federation.

The MGR Nalpani Mandram has appealed to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to take steps to complete the doubling of the Villupuram– Tiruchi–Dindigul section before 2015-16. Mandram founder secretary N. Ramakrishnan appealed for running trains from Tiruchi to Bangalore, Tirupati, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
