Human values, ethics, and personality development are the key themes of Thisai 2013, a three-day exhibition organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at Roshan Mahal in the city. Targeting different age groups, nearly 80 stalls titled ‘purpose of life’, ‘education’, ‘wealth’, ‘role models’, ‘mathematics’, ‘geography’, ‘solar energy’, ‘human rights’, ‘dowry’, and ‘women’s rights’ have been put up. At each stall, young resource persons in the age of 15 to 20 explain the objectives to visitors. “The exhibition is not restricted to any specific faith or religion but aims at infusing confidence and self-esteem into every individual,” says Syed Mohamed, district organiser of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. It has been planned to organise the expo as an annual feature.

A couple of volunteers, Mujahirdul Islam and K. Kader Meera, said that there has been overwhelming response from the visitors who understand the relevance of the theme. The expo concludes on Friday.
