An Anti-Tobacco rally was organised by the NCC Air Wing of National College here on Wednesday to create awareness of the evil effects of tobacco use.
Dangers highlighted
Led by the College Flight Commander Squadron Leader R. Sundhararaman, Air Wing cadets covered various places carrying placards highlighting the dangers of use of tobacco.
The rally flagged off by the College Principal in-charge R. Srinivasan from the institution proceeded via Tiruchi railway junction, LIC, Vignesh hotel and Aristo hotel before culminating at the college.
As part of the rally, the participating cadets distributed pamphlets to the public, a release said.
